Dr. S. Girijakumari., M.Sc. (N), M.A., Ph.D

Dr. S. Girijakumari has completed her Ph.D. in Community Health Nursing/Sociology from Bharathidasan University, Trichy. She holds her Masters degree in Community Health Nursing and Bachelors degree from the College of Nursing, SRIPMS, affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. She has also completed her Masters in Sociology from Annamalai University, Chidambaram.

She has 28 years of academic excellence, and throughout these years she has been associated with the College of Nursing, SRIPMS, making her one of the longest-serving academicians of the institution. She has published and presented more than 10 research papers in national and international journals and conferences.

She has been the Chairperson in Public Health for TNAI, Tamil Nadu State Branch, for 3 years. She is a life member of TNAI, the Public Health Association of India, and the Association of Gerontology (India). Presently, she is a Member of the Board of Examinations at The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, serves as an Adhoc Inspector, and also holds guideship under the same university. In addition, she is the President of the Alumni Association of the Sri Ramakrishna College of Nursing.

Dr. S. Girijakumari is currently the Principal of the College of Nursing, SRIPMS, Coimbatore.
